Light Up The Lakefront [UPDATED]

For the first time since 2019, our Light Up the Lakefront event returns in-person! Once again we will be gathering at North Avenue beach to light candles in a striking visual tribute to all those affected by domestic violence each year.

Join us to mark Domestic Violence Awareness Month, show your support for survivors, and dedicate a candle to a loved one! This is a free outdoor event and no tickets are necessary. ASL and Spanish translation will be provided for all speakers.

You will find us just east of the pedestrian bridge and just north of Shore Club Chicago. Paid parking and a space for pick-up/drop-off is available to the south by Castaways restaurant. If you are taking public transit, the 72 bus stops at North Avenue Beach.
