We’re delighted to announce that our host for Friendly Competition: A Trivia Night for a Cause! will be the hilarious Sonal Aggarwal!
A former international street performer turned emcee, Sonal has brought her talents to Chicago as an actor, comedian, producer, and movement artist. Her one woman show “The Alchemy of Bliss” played for a sold-out weekend at Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theater and you can see her on Netflix’s “Easy” as well as the short “A Period Piece” which debuted at SXSW 2020. She is also producing a weekly zoom comedy show every Wednesday called “Gimme The Light.”
Sonal will also be performing an exclusive stand-up set prior to our event, which you can buy tickets to when you register for the quiz.
Music for the event will be provided by Alexander Great, a St. Louis-born, Milwaukee-raised, and Chicago-based DJ who will play selections from a music catalog that spans generations and genres, taking listeners from hip-hop to jazz, indie rock to deep house, and from Latin America to the Caribbean and Africa.
