We are thrilled to welcome Fawn O’Brien as Between Friends’ new Director of Development! Fawn brings to us her considerable experience managing fundraising and communications work, including growing support from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
Fawn previously worked at Meals on Wheels Chicago and at Lincoln Park Community Services. Before moving into the non-profit space, she worked in community affairs for several professional sports organizations.
Fawn grew up in the Metro Detroit area and graduated from Michigan State University with a dual degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology in 2011. While at Michigan State, she was a founding member of SpartyTHON and worked in the Domestic Violence Unit at the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office. She currently serves as the President of the Chicago Spartans, the largest Michigan State alumni club outside the state of Michigan, and as Executive Event Chair of the Chicago Spartans annual gala, SpartyBall. In her free time, Fawn loves reading, exploring different Chicago neighborhoods and being a cat mom to her cat, Wrigley.
