It is bittersweet news to announce that Yesenia Maldonado has decided to move on as Executive Director of Between Friends, effective May 3. Yesenia will be returning to Puerto Rico temporarily to help rebuild homes for women and children still recovering from the aftermath of Hurricanes Maria and Irma.
“These past nine years with Between Friends have been one of my greatest joys and honors,” says Yesenia. “None of these proud moments came without sacrifices and trust from an extraordinary team of staff and the thought leadership of an accomplished board of directors. I leave Between Friends in their very capable hands to continue strengthening and expanding upon what we have built in partnership.”
